It’s a joyful way to connect with music, unleash creativity, and share moments of pure happiness with others. Whether swaying to a gentle melody or bursting with energy to an upbeat rhythm, dancing lets you lose yourself in the moment and feel truly alive.
Yara Khadir, a 25-year-old Syrian is a multi-talented Dancer, influencer, trainer, and gymnast in the UAE. She is certified by the British board and has so many accolades to her name, She has been part of the Syrian national team since 2011.
As a career-oriented young woman, she has been training herself since the age of 11, she had training in various activities ranging from aerobics to Zumba and paragliding with awards and certificates to show for it.
In a world rife with gender biases favoring men, this remarkable young woman has shattered stereotypes, transcending societal limitations to reach for the stars. Beyond her undeniable talent, she stands as a beacon of activism, leveraging her media platform to amplify voices and advocate for justice.
Amidst the tragic backdrop of the ongoing conflict between Palestine and Israel, she fearlessly raises her voice against the atrocities inflicted upon the Palestinian people. With unwavering determination, she shines a spotlight on the senseless loss of innocent lives, particularly children, caught in the crossfire of war.
“Dance, in its various forms, is often stigmatized and misunderstood,” she observes. “Yet, my passion for this art form fuels my determination to defy societal norms and carve a path of my own.”
Her advocacy transcends mere words, as she channels her passion into action, galvanizing support for humanitarian efforts and championing the cause of peace. In a world plagued by division and strife, she stands as a testament to the power of resilience and compassion, inspiring others to join her in the fight for a more just and equitable world.
As talented as Yara is, she has taken dance as that which she cannot do without. “Dance is a staple for my soul”, She said. She started dancing at the age of nine and she has not stopped since then, she chose ballet as a means to express herself and she demonstrated greatly the beautiful art behind dancing. As a professional and a trainer, she has been able to impart her knowledge into others who have chosen dance as a lifestyle.
The entrepreneurial spirit of the businesswomen Khdair aspiration has long been to support a venture close to her heart. In due course, she not only cultivated a revenue stream for herself but also for others by founding Horizon Fitness Center.
Additionally, she contributes as a part of the gymnastics panel within the Syrian Sports Association. Khdair also embarked on her career journey as a model at the tender age of 19, exploring realms in advertising photography, and sports along the way. Grateful for her family’s unwavering support, she acknowledges their role in her pursuits.
With over six years devoted to the stage, Khdair’s thespian pursuits have been significant. Yet, her passion for dance remains paramount, infusing her life with positivity akin to magic.
“To succeed, one must first believe in oneself and cultivate unwavering self-confidence,” she advises. “Criticism and negativity only serve to impede progress. Instead, embrace diversity, defy convention, and passionately pursue your passions.”
Immersed in UAE’s cultural mosaic, Khdair finds herself flourishing amidst a rainbow of diverse cultures and nationalities. Each encounter nurtures a deeper understanding, offering invaluable experiences and insights that enrich her worldview. “At the onset, navigating these diverse social spheres posed a challenge,” she muses, “Yet, with time, I’ve grown adept at traversing the intricacies of cultural exchange, finding solace in the mosaic of acquaintances from myriad backgrounds. These encounters not only shape my character but also fortify my resilience.”
Choosing ballet as her early form of self-expression, Khdair embarked on a path that, unbeknownst to her, would be fraught with societal obstacles. Reflecting on her journey, she laments the lack of interest and support for dance, especially ballet, in the Arab world. “Dance, in its various forms, is often stigmatized and misunderstood,” she observes. “Yet, my passion for this art form fuels my determination to defy societal norms and carve a path of my own.”
Driven by a vision of global recognition and distinction, Khdair sets her sights on achieving greatness in a world teeming with fame but lacking in true distinction. Despite her penchant for solitude and introspection, she remains steadfast in her pursuit of personal and professional excellence. “For me, success is not merely a destination but a conscious choice,” she asserts. “It requires resilience, self-belief, and a steadfast commitment to one’s goals.”
Rejecting the confines of routine, Khdair embraces change and diversity as constants in her life. Unfettered by the allure of brands, she finds beauty in simplicity and elegance, choosing attire that resonates with her mood and personality.
“My style is a reflection of my inner self,” she declares. “It evolves with me, adapting to the ebbs and flows of life.
With a burgeoning following on social media, Khdair emerges as a beacon of inspiration for young netizens, imparting wisdom garnered from her own journey.
